Corey Teguis, DMD
Improving someone’s life through orthodontics is a gift.
Every day, I am able to offer this gift of positive change, and help people transform their life as I work with each to achieve a healthy, beautiful, and confident smile!
Observing the transformation each person goes through during treatment never ceases to please me. When I’m working with younger Phase 1 and Phase 2 patients, I am privileged to watch their personal growth as individuals and really get to know them as they mature into young adults. I love hearing about what they’re doing in school, learning about their ever-changing hobbies and interests, and their dreams for the future. I love that, through my work, I help set these younger individuals on the path to a lifetime of strong self-esteem and confidence.
Equally as fulfilling is seeing the transformation in my adult patients, be they parents, working professionals, or grandparents. Many of these individuals have spent years feeling uncomfortable about the appearance of their teeth, which is often reflected in a lower self-esteem or discomfort around others. Seeing an adult gain comfort with their appearance, and the corresponding growth in their self-image and confidence, is truly gratifying.
I am fortunate to have met and served so many wonderful people through my profession. It is rewarding to help individuals gain confidence with a happy smile!
Education and Experience
Growing up in a small rural town, I always wanted to be a dentist. I attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated magna cum laude with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. It was during dental school that the orthodontics specialty stood out for me. Orthodontists have such happy outcomes and work with a patient base that is making a positive change in their life.
Thus decided, I remained at Tufts School of Dental Medicine for my post-doctorate residency and specialty training, which culminated in my certificate in orthodontics.
I’ve practiced for 20 years now and have no doubt orthodontics was the ideal choice for me: I transform my patients’ smiles and they leave the practice happy and confident!
Continuing Education
As an orthodontist, I find that creating and executing the most effective treatment plan for each individual is rewarding. One of the most encouraging aspects of orthodontics, I find, is the ongoing advancement of the specialty.
The new technologies and changes in techniques I have seen in my 20 years have been incredible. Using innovative technology and having the ability to visualize the detailed components of a treatment plan is exciting!
Being a lifelong learner, I enjoy delving into the latest findings in orthodontics, and pursue continuing education through national, regional, and local conferences. Staying up to date on the latest technology, materials, and trends enables me to bring the best and most innovative practices to my patients.
I also participate in webinars, take courses through providers such as Invisalign®, and am part of a study group with local dental professionals. By working closely with other oral healthcare providers, both general dentists and specialists, I am able to provide the most comprehensive care available to ensure strong, healthy, and beautiful smiles for all of my patients.

Beyond the Practice
I’ve lived in Southern Maine for more than 20 years and have raised my family in this wonderful area. My wife Jackie, who is the bookkeeper for the practice and an active community volunteer, and I have two sons: Nick, who is almost 20, and Timmy, who is 17.
Time with family and friends is my greatest love. I enjoy watching our boys at their various sporting events and, in the past, coached youth baseball and soccer. Being active and outdoors keeps me happy and healthy. Depending on the season, I can be found playing tennis or paddleboarding, along with running, hiking, or skiing. I also treasure my time at the beach.
A Final Thought
I am pleased to have built a practice that people love to come to, because they are treated with respect and great care by an enthusiastic and skilled team. I look forward to welcoming you to our orthodontic family and being your partner as you achieve your best smile: one that is healthy, stable, and beautifully confident!
